Heavy Equipment Mechanic

POSITION SUMMARY: The mechanical Technician performs heavy equipment repairs and maintenance on slipform curb machines, slipform pavers and company vehicles.

Typical repairs include preventative maintenance inspections, hydraulic, fuel, exhaust, brakes, suspension, electrical, motor engine and more.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains advanced knowledge to diagnose and repair mechanical problems on heavy equipment.

• Performs repair or preventative maintenance on heavy equipment, including slipform curb machines, slipform pavers and company vehicles and to maximize safe and productive operations. Typical repairs and maintenance would include work on engines, transmissions, chassis, drivelines and body components, hydraulic, brake, electrical and suspension systems, wheels, and tires.

• According to equipment condition and usage, support the sales to explain the equipment instruction to meet customer demands.

• Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Working knowledge of repair motor engines, hydraulic, and fuel.
• 5 years of experience as a technician working on heavy equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
